Debug Any Mix: Real-Time Audio Profiling with Unreal’s Audio Insights

Unreal Engine 5.8 introduces Audio Insights, a powerful suite of tools for profiling and debugging game audio in real time. This Unreal Fest session shows how to use dashboards, plots, loudness meters, and a live signal flow graph to solve “why can’t I hear my sound?” and nail your mix across PIE, standalone, and consoles. You’ll see practical workflows for isolating problem sounds, freezing and scrubbing time, and capturing trace snapshots QA can attach to bugs. It also covers extending Audio Insights with custom dashboards for your own VO and music systems.

Free Odin Inspector Alternative? Meet Alchemy for Unity

Alchemy is a free, MIT-licensed Unity library that brings many of Odin Inspector’s best editor features—custom attributes, grouping, buttons, and field constraints—right into your inspector. The video demo shows how to clean up inspectors, wire methods as buttons, and serialize dictionaries, hash sets, tuples, and nullable types using Unity’s com.unity.serialization. It also covers handy hierarchy upgrades like icons, zebra striping, and headers. The creator finishes by comparing Alchemy to Odin and explaining when each makes the most sense.
